The months of summer come with countless challenges, especially for those who fall short of the essential resources for survival. Especially in the recent times, the intensity of the heatwaves in India has grown incredibly severe. In order to beat the heat, staying hydrated isn't just a necessity, but a lifeline.

And at Selfless Sewa, we believe in stepping up when it's the most important. Hence, we started a Summer Relief Campaign spread across the country: we were determined to reach as many people as we could , focusing mainly on areas of Delhi, Chandigarh, Sirsa, Mumbai, Telangana, Dehradun etc. Our team, distributed around 30000+ packets of "masala chhaach and milk" ; सेवकs not only ensured their proper nutrition and nourishment, but also gave them a sense of relief, reminding them that they are not alone in the struggle.

In addition to this, we also set up Chhabeel stalls in various areas, on various occasions. Particularly outside gurudwaras and the slums, where access to cooling refreshments is usually scarce.

By addressing needs like these, we set an example by showing care for those who need it most. This campaign wasn't just a one-time-effort, but a catalyst that paves a way for a better tomorrow.

Bag Distribution Campaign

Every child dreams of having a school bag they can truly call their own. For many of us, it is an ordinary thing. For a child who has never owned one, it becomes a reason to smile, feel confident, and look forward to going to school.

At Selfless Sewa, we have started this as a permanent campaign because we believe no child should have to carry books in a plastic bag or miss school because they don’t have the basic essentials.

Our goal is to distribute 5,000+ school bags. We will first reach the children in the slum communities where we work regularly, ensuring every child in our education program has a bag of their own. As we grow, we will also distribute bags in orphanages and other communities where children need our support.

This campaign will continue throughout the year. Whenever we find a child in need, we will do our best to make sure they receive a school bag with dignity and love.

Sometimes, the smallest gift can make a child feel seen. A school bag may seem simple, but for a child, it can be the beginning of a new journey.

As the winter chill settles in, many families face hardships, enduring the merciless winter without the warmth they deserve. Thus, as our motto states, "service above self"; we took it upon ourselves to light up their dark nights, one by one.

Every other night, when the city fell quiet and the temperature dropped, our team goes out in full force, heading into different corners of the city, to distribute blankets and winter essentials to the homeless.

We are on an ongoing mission of distributing 1000+ winter essentials to the ones with lost homes, families all across the country, mainly focusing on areas including Delhi, Sirsa, Chandigarh, Dehradun and more. For a common man, it really is hard to believe how a mere blanket or a pair of socks that cost almost nothing, held the ability to bring warmth to a life, quite literally.

Behind the scenes, every department at Selfless Sewa works around the clock- collecting donations, constantly reaching out to a wider audience through stories, ensuring the awareness never pauses for a moment. It surely isn't possible without people like you, who, with every small contribution , help us make a huge difference.
